Training Description

This workshop is led by Professor Susan Young, author of the Young-Bramham Programme, and provides training in psychological treatment for ADHD adolescents and adults. The two-day workshop will demonstrate how to apply the Young-Bramham Programme, which is a client-centred modular program that describes CBT treatment for ADHD symptoms (inattention and memory problems, time management and impulsivity) and co-existing problems (problem solving, social relationships, anxiety, frustration and anger, mood problems, sleep problems and substance abuse).

The training has an interactive focus, combining small group exercises, role play and discussion.  Day 1 teaches strategies for organisation and time management, problem solving and managing social relationships.  Day 2 focuses on strategies for emotional control, including frustration and anger, anxiety, and depression. The book is not included in the training materials.
